Product Owner is responsible for managing the product backlog, budgeting, and dates for the release schedule. This is maximizing the value of the Scrum Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Participation in sprint events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Participates in Sprint and Sprint Events:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Sprint Planning<\/strong>– they identify the priority order that they would like the Team to accomplish during the Sprint.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Stand-Ups<\/strong>– monitors progress.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      NOTE: <\/strong>Their level of participation is defined by the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Sprint Review<\/strong>– they demonstrate the product to all stakeholders for feedback.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Retrospective<\/strong>– discusses successes and challenges with the entire team in order to help improve future sprints.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • During Sprint<\/strong>– must be available during the sprint to answer questions and provide clarifications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

        Product Owner Authority<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • Sole person responsible for managing the Product Backlog Items.\n
            \n
          • Determines when the product increments will be released, without<\/strong> <\/strong>overruling the Team\u2019s estimated effort required to complete those increments and without <\/strong>violating the Sprint commitment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            • Only determines the \u201cWhat<\/strong>\u201d is needed, not the \u201cHow<\/strong>\u201d it is delivered<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              • The Product Owner is one person, not a committee.\u00a0<\/strong>\n
